Outsiders: Kanal w/ Assemble

Assemble Studio's contribution to Kanal Centre Pompidou is a playground landscape that evokes volcanoes and distant planets. This hour-long programme traces through moments of release, energy, curiosity and slowness that aim to reflect on the diverse and inquisitive nature of child's play. Founded in London in 2010, Assemble's practice spans urban regeneration, cultural spaces, participatory design and play. Working closely with local communities, they are recognised for their experimental approach, sensitivity to context and commitment to rethinking architectural practice.
