Abdullah Miniawy

Abdullah Miniawy (b. 1994) is an Egyptian writer, singer, composer, and actor whose practice moves between poetry, experimental music, and performance. He has collaborated with artists such as Erik Truffaz, Kamilya Jubran, and Carl Gari, performing at venues including the Festival d’Avignon, ICA London, Haus der Kunst, and the Louvre. His album Le Cri Du Caire with Erik Truffaz received the Victoires du Jazz 2023 award. Alongside his music, he has composed for theater and contemporary art, acted in Alaa Eddine Slim’s Tlamess (Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes 2019), and remains a distinctive poetic voice shaped by and resonating beyond the Arab Spring.
