Outsiders: Bureau B w/ Mense Reents

For their first episode of the year, Bureau B invited Hamburg-based producer, composer, and musician Mense Reents. Recently, Bureau B released a retrospective of one of his earliest projects, Egoexpress (A Piece of the Action 1995–2005), celebrating a decade of activity in the electronic underground.

Now, Mense’s guest mix follows in the same musical vein, paying tribute to the sound of Relief Records. In 1995, at the height of the second Chicago house wave, Alan Jones, aka Green Velvet, released countless tracks on his label. Their raw and direct sound quickly found eager audiences on European techno dance floors.
