Outsiders: Invisible City w/ Rustam

Rustam is a Ukrainian DJ and producer based in Kyiv, active since the late 1990s. His practice grew from deep involvement with both rock and club music, shaped by years of playing, collecting records and working beyond short-term trends.

“This podcast is inspired by the era when I was a teenager. At that time, good music could be found on VHS tapes that were occasionally brought from abroad, or on cable television broadcasts that aired late at night, often with very poor image quality. Everyone wanted to learn how to dance hip-hop and breakdance, and the only disco I was allowed to attend took place in my school sports hall in the evening, a large open room with just two basketball hoops, where a sound system was set up”.
