To inaugurate his new monthly residency on Kiosk Radio, Unckle Al’ presents Daydream Nation: Curated, a conversation across time between two Italian artists separated by several decades: Lucio Battisti and Andrea Laszlo De Simone. Two generations, two different eras, yet a shared fascination with intimacy, love, desire, solitude, and the traces left by time.

From “Io vivrò senza te” to “Vivo”, the songs alternate and respond to one another. Battisti and De Simone are not brought together here to establish a lineage or trace direct influences, but to explore what happens when two musical worlds, separated by time, begin to speak to each other. A selection about love, memories, separation, desire, and the strange ability of certain songs to cross decades without losing their power.
